Tamuz - A Vision

When you read this, I’ll be helping convene the first in-person Jewish Psychedelic Summit at Psychedelic Science ‘23 in Denver, CO. This is formative moment for Shefa, for me, and for all of our Jewish siblings yearning for a vision of Psychedelic Judaism that deeply resonates.

In envisioning the future of psychedelic Judaism, it becomes evident that the integration of mystical experiences and ancient Jewish wisdom has the power to transform the spiritual landscape. Picture a vibrant community where seekers of all backgrounds can gather to explore the depths of Jewish thought through the profound lens of psychedelic journeys. Synagogues become sanctuaries of profound meaning and connection, where sacred rituals are enhanced by the intentional use of entheogens, facilitating profound insights and heightened awareness of the divine. Jewish texts and teachings are illuminated with newfound understandings, allowing for a deeper exploration of the teachings of Torah, Kabbalah, and Chassidut. Through the prism of psychedelics, individuals are able to tap into the mystical realms, both inner and intersellar, forging a personal and direct connection with the God of our own understanding. This visionary path unfolds as a bridge between ancient wisdom and contemporary spiritual exploration, fostering a psycho-spiritual awakening that inspires radical empathy, love, and healing for both the individual and the larger community. Psychedelic Judaism emerges as a harmonious blend of the mystical and the practical, catalyzing personal growth, societal transformation, and an authentic encounter with the Spirit/Magic/Presence.

I can’t wait to share what I’ve learned here upon my return.

Hodesh tov,

Z
