Tree-Sense: A Mystical Tu Bishvat Ritual

Tu Bishvat–the Jewish calendar’s tree celebration–is a holiday steeped in mysticism and ecological consciousness. On February 13, author, teacher, midrashist, mystic, poet, essayist, and priestess Rabbi Jill Hammer will guide us through a Tu Bishvat ritual like no other.Inspired by the trees at the center of her new novel, The Moonstone Covenant, Rabbi Jill, alongside musicians Shoshana Jedwab and Basya Schechter, will take us on an arboreal journey of the soul using music, meditation, and more. Come sing, chant, taste, smell, and learn with us, while bathing in immersive tree imagery through wrap-around projection.

Presented in partnership with The Neighborhood: An Urban Center for Jewish Life and Shefa: Jewish Psychedelic Support.This event is 21+ and will be photographed. If price is an obstacle to your participation, please email info@theneighborhoodbk.org to request an accommodation.
