There is a growing longing to bridge Jewish music and medicine spaces.
Many of us go into psychedelic spaces and experiences of expanded consciousness and crave being able to bring our own Jewish songs, prayers, and melodies.
This series explores Jewish song as spiritual infrastructure for expanded states. Together we will learn how to use traditional melodies and niggunim as tools for grounding, opening, integrating, and moving forward.
We will also learn to create our own “medicine songs” or niggunim to support our prayers and intention, and to help us with processing and integrating our deep work in the psychedelic space + adjacent experiences. We will be using a specific mussar practice to inspire our creative process, as well.
This is not a course only for performers or musicians, this is for any of us who have a prayer and are curious to use our voice as an expression of devotion, in service of ourselves, the group, and our ancestors.
Each session will be 75 minutes.
All registrants will receive recordings and resources.

Session Descriptions:
Session 1: Preparing the Vessel — Song Before the Journey
How do we prepare ourselves musically before entering a ceremony?
We’ll explore creating a personal “prayer list” — songs from our tradition that anchor intention, soften resistance, and align the heart. Through singing and reflection, we’ll practice using melody as preparation and protection.
Session 2: Mussar Into Niggun — Clarifying Intention
Turning personal insight into embodied sound.
We’ll work with Mussar-based reflection and explore how melody can help refine character traits, hold intention, and anchor inner work. Participants will begin shaping a niggun that supports their own spiritual growth and ceremonial preparation.
Session 3: Journey Integration Through Song
Bringing the experience into the body through melody.
We’ll explore how to work with songs after a journey — using voice to metabolize insight, grief, gratitude, or revelation. Through guided practice, we’ll experiment with singing as a way to integrate and solidify what was received.
Session 4: Singing Forward — Intention for the Next Chapter
Music as a bridge into the future.
In our final session, we’ll explore how to carry song into upcoming ceremonies or life transitions. Participants will refine or choose melodies that can accompany them going forward — as compass, companion, and reminder of their deepest commitments.
