Shefa is Hiring: Content & Communications Associate
We’re looking for someone to support the way Shefa communicates- visually and in writing- across our platforms.
This is a small, steady role focused on helping things feel clear, cohesive, and well-held week to week.
You’ll be working with Canva, Substack, Circle, Instagram, and Airtable—designing graphics, writing copy (human- not AI), formatting posts, and helping ensure that nothing slips through the cracks.
What You’ll Be Doing
Creating clean, on-brand graphics in Canva (program announcements, simple visuals, etc.)
Formatting and publishing posts on Substack, Circle, and Instagram, including program announcements, blogs, newsletters, and more
Writing copy so communications feel clear and aligned and not robotic
Tracking content and timelines in Airtable
Keeping things organized and moving without needing a lot of oversight
This Role is a Good Fit If…
Have a strong visual eye (you know when something feels clean vs. cluttered)
Are comfortable in Canva and have a basic sense of design
Write clearly and simply
Are organized and not intimidated by tools like Airtable
Are happy to track your hours & can work efficiently within a small number of hours
Take ownership of your work and follow things through
This Role is Not a Good Fit If…
Prefer highly collaborative or brainstorming-heavy environments
Need step-by-step direction for each task
Tend to over-design or overcomplicate things
Time Commitment
~5 hours per week, flexible and asynchronous
Weekly priorities will be set, with the expectation of independent execution.
The workload may vary slightly week to week- so hours must be tracked.
There is also opportunity for increased work scope over time for the right person.
To Apply
Please submit your resume, cover letter, and a sample Canva Substack/Instagram graphic to flow@shefaflow.org
About the work
Shefa supports and educates Jewish psychedelic explorers with spiritually-rooted resources and immersive experiences. We are on a mission to create spaces for healing and self-discovery in community by integrating Jewish wisdom with psychedelic practices.
This role supports a small team doing meaningful, nuanced work at the intersection of Jewish wisdom, community, and inner life.
We’re looking for someone who can hold that tone with care- in how things are designed, written, and shared.
If this feels like you, we’d love to hear from you.
Compensation: $30–$40/hour depending on experience
